Mohs Micrographic and Reconstructive Surgery

Mohs surgery is a surgical technique used to treat skin cancer where thin layers of cancer-containing skin are removed and examined until only cancer-free tissue remains. It is used to treat basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, some types of melanoma, and other more unusual skin cancers.

Mohs surgery is done on an outpatient basis.

See more information about Mohs Surgery from The American Academy of Dermatology Association at the links below.

Dermatopathology is the study of skin pathology and a subspecialty of dermatology and pathology. Dermatopathologists are highly-trained physicians who diagnose diseases of the skin, hair, and nails using a microscope. Dermatopathology cases may include cancers, immunologic disorders, and infectious diseases.
